Solid Hardwood

Engineered Hardwood

Made from multiple cross plies of hardwood, with a furniture quality top layer, engineered hardwood has several advantages over solid hardwood. It is by far our most popular alternative.

Versatility. The biggest advantage of engineered hardwood is that it can be installed where solid wood floors typically should not be used e.g. concrete substrate.
Ease of Installation. Engineered hardwood can be installed over any sub-surface including cement, vinyl and existing wood floors.
Dimensionally more stable. Engineered hardwood does not expand or contract in the same manner as solid hardwood.
